Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Bridgeport, CT
Duration: 3 months (possible extension or Temp-to-Hire)
Shift Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thur: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Tue: 8:30AM–5:00PM, Fri: 8:00AM–1:00PM
Pay Range: $20-$21/hr 

Seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to serve as the Patient Services Representative I (PSR I). This role involves drawing high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient care by creating a trusting and professional environment. The PSR I will perform both forensic and clinical specimen collections while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety standards.

• Draw blood samples accurately from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Prepare specimens following established protocols for lab testing.

• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and confidence.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

• Follow safety procedures to maintain a clean and professional workspace.

• Perform daily tasks efficiently under supervisor guidance.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Demonstrate leadership qualities by focusing on process excellence and positive patient interactions.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Phlebotomy certification required.

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required.

• 1+ years preferred.

• Customer service experience in retail or healthcare settings preferred.

• Keyboard and data entry skills required.

Skills:

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
