Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Indianapolis IN
Duration: 2 - 3 Months+
Shift/Time Zone: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our company, providing exceptional care to patients during routine visits or when critical health decisions are being made. The PSR II is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and accurately preparing specimens for lab testing in accordance with established procedures.
This position requires strong phlebotomy skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to foster a welcoming, trustworthy atmosphere for patients. The PSR II must also demonstrate leadership, confidentiality, accuracy, and a commitment to our core principles of patient care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform all daily activities under the direction of the area supervisor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff.

Collect forensic and clinical specimens confidently and accurately per established procedures.

Confirm patient identification and demographic information; ensure tubes are labeled in the patient’s presence and verified with their signature.

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and records.

Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, and WA)
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (Required)

Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred)
-
Experience in retail or service-based customer service roles (Preferred)

Keyboarding and data entry proficiency (Required)

Superior phlebotomy skills across all age groups

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime

Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable)

Ability to work multiple locations with short notice

Commitment to patient confidentiality and exceptional customer service

Ability to embrace change, maintain open communication, and understand the business
