Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Location: Clinton Township, MI
Job Duration: 2-3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift:

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Shifts rotate based on the physician’s schedule. Candidates will work a 40-hour work week and must be available for one late night per week.

Job Summary:

• Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with treatments ordered by the physician under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse.
• Perform selected clinical duties as assigned.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and document information in patient charts.
• Prepare treatment and examination rooms.
• Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
• Order, stock, and manage medical supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow Standard Precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of applicable cumulative, job-specific experience.

Licensure / Certification:

• BLS Provider Certification.
• Medical Assistant (MA).

Skills & Work Environment:

• Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.

Must be experienced in:

• Vaccines.
• EKGs.
• Procedure preparation.
• Venipuncture.
• Monitoring vital signs.
• Injections.
