Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Job Duration: 6 months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Mon - Fri, 7:30am - 4:30pm
Payrate: $17 - $25/ hr on w2
Position Overview:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients who are visiting either as part of their routine healthcare or for critical, life-impacting tests.
- This role involves collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional and compassionate environment.
- The PSR I also upholds the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

Create a trusting and confident environment for patients.

Clearly explain collection procedures.
-
Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections skillfully, safely, and accurately.

Specimen Collection & Processing:
-
Collect both forensic and clinical specimens.
-
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and preparation of samples for lab testing.

Follow all established practices and procedures.

Operational Support:

Perform daily responsibilities promptly and accurately under supervisor direction.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.

Administrative Duties:

Accurately maintain records and documentation.

Perform data entry and other clerical tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:
-
Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-
High attention to detail and ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to meet staffing needs, including availability for:
-
Weekends,Holidays,On-call shifts,Overtime.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED
- Phlebotomy certification – Preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
