Job Description:
The Finance Analyst – Branchburg Site will support Manufacturing & Quality, Manufacturing Finance, and FP&A by analyzing financial performance, consolidating site-level reporting, and managing local capital and fixed assets. This role requires strong analytical ability, communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Planning:
- Lead financial reporting and planning for the Branchburg site scorecard, consolidating inputs from controllership teams.
- Partner with the Site Leadership Team, Manufacturing Finance, and local Finance leadership to prepare forecasts, business plans, and strategic plans.
- Communicate key drivers behind variances and present results to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Departmental Financial Support:
- Provide financial support to 30+ cost centers across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Facilities, and Global Services.
- Develop and manage forecasts, business plans, and variance analyses.
- Deliver updated forecasts based on trends and communicate insights to Finance leadership and department managers.
Capital Investments:
- Own Branchburg’s Local Capital financial processes, overseeing 50–100 projects annually.
- Manage investment requests, documentation, approvals, and reporting.
- Provide quarterly forecasts and monthly variance analysis for capital spending.
- Ensure timely project closeouts to align asset depreciation schedules.
- Lead and support internal and external capital audits.
Fixed Assets:
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records, ensuring timely additions, removals, and transfers.
- Partner with Engineering, Facilities, and Manufacturing to validate asset activity.
- Lead the Annual Fixed Asset Inventory, managing hundreds of assets.
Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Planning:
- Partner with the Assoc. VP of HR to plan, forecast, and analyze site-level Compensation & Benefits expenses.
- Provide variance analysis and reporting during business and strategic planning cycles.
Systems & Consolidations:
- Maintain hierarchies for local cost centers and cost elements.
- Coordinate business plan data input and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as the central point of contact for site financial reporting systems.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Month-End Close:
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests from FP&A leadership, site managers, and auditors.
- Handle month-end close responsibilities for assigned departments.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3–5 years of FP&A experience
Preferred:
- 3–5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech
- SAP (Analysis/Planning) experience
