Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Neuroscience drug discovery team. The successful candidate will support our drug discovery programs by executing in vitro assays under the direction of senior staff members. This role requires a strong background in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline, along with hands-on laboratory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute in vitro assays to support Neuroscience drug discovery programs.
Develop and perform cell-based assays using various formats such as immunoassay, Western blot, real-time quantitative qPCR, and immunofluorescence techniques.
Maintain and culture mammalian cells.
Utilize molecular biology techniques including transfection, RNA and protein extraction.
Process in vivo samples for downstream pharmacodynamic endpoints.
Work in a BSL2 laboratory setting.
Analyze data using curve fitting software (GraphPad Prism) and maintain records in electronic lab notebooks.
Quals--
Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.
2-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
Proficiency in developing and executing cell-based assays.
Experience with mammalian cell culture.
Familiarity with molecular biology techniques.
Willingness to work in a BSL2 environment.
Knowledge of Neuroscience, particularly Parkinson s disease and Alzheimer s disease, with a focus on lysosomal biology, is preferred.
Experience with data analysis software (GraphPad Prism) and Electronic Lab Notebooks is desired.
Preferred Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
