Medical Assistant

• Job Title: Medical Assistant (Primary Care & Float)
• Location: Fresno, CA 93721
• Duration: 3+ months (possible extension)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hrs/week)
• Pay Rate: $25/hour (W2)

We’re hiring a Medical Assistant (PCP & Float) to support providers and specialty care teams in delivering efficient, compassionate care—primarily serving a frail and elderly population. You’ll operate at the front lines of patient care, balancing clinical execution with administrative precision.

• Prepare patients for appointments by setting up exam rooms, obtaining patient history, and supporting check-in and check-out processes.
• Measure and document vital signs and perform pre-exam assessments as ordered.
• Assist providers and specialists during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform approved clinical procedures including dressing changes, suture removal, COVID testing, specimen collection, and patient education as directed.
• Document patient care, procedures, and specialist encounters accurately in Athena EMR.
• Collect, label, and prepare laboratory specimens; ensure proper sterilization of medical and dental equipment.
• Triage and manage unscheduled patient requests per physician direction.
• Coordinate and manage specialist clinic schedules; proactively fill appointment gaps and prepare weekly schedules.

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience (geriatric or elderly care preferred)
• Strong clinical competencies and documentation skills
• Culturally competent with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Must be 18 years or older
