Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Davenport FL
Duration: 6 Months
Shift/Time: M-F 6AM-3PM and every 4th Saturday.
Job Overview: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company for patients, whether they are visiting for routine health needs or making important health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing, all while following established procedures. The PSR I interacts directly with patients, creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and ensuring blood specimens are drawn safely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction: Build trust and confidence with patients while explaining blood draw procedures in a clear and calm manner.

Blood Collection & Processing: Confidently collect and process both forensic and clinical specimens, following established guidelines.

Verification & Documentation: Accurately maintain records and ensure proper labeling of blood specimens.

Work Environment: Maintain a safe, professional, and organized workspace.

Leadership & Confidentiality: Demonstrate leadership behaviors and ensure patient information is handled with confidentiality and accuracy.

Positive Image: Represent the company positively to patients, clients, and colleagues.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced setting with minimal errors.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficient in phlebotomy, including experience with pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed based on staffing demands.

Strong focus on customer service and maintaining professionalism at all times.
Required Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical Training: Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Certifications: Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Experience:

At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.

1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Experience in customer service (retail or service environment) preferred.

Proficiency in keyboard/data entry is essential.
