Position Overview

• The Automation Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions using Ansible, Python, JavaScript, and related tools.
• The role requires expertise in workflow automation, ServiceNow integration, CI/CD platform testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and process improvements.

 
Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation

• Develop and implement automation strategies in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Write Python scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate workflows.
• Create reusable Ansible roles and modules for common tasks.
• Integrate automation workflows with REST APIs, ServiceNow Catalog, and webhooks.
• Contribute to CI/CD platform testing and pipeline automation.

Operations & Maintenance

• Monitor automation workflows to ensure reliable execution.
• Configure alerts and notifications for critical workflow issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts, playbooks, and integrations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Documentation

• Develop and maintain documentation for automation scripts, playbooks, and procedures.
• Record incident responses, resolutions, and workflow changes.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with application teams, network engineers, and stakeholders for seamless integration of automation solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and increased efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging automation tools and best practices.

 
Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation development.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong experience in Python, Ansible, and JavaScript for automation.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with CI/CD platform testing.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Catalog, APIs, and scripting.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in ServiceNow Catalog, Ansible, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience developing automation workflows in enterprise IT environments.
• Knowledge of configuration management and orchestration best practices.
