Phlebotomist II
Duration: 6months
Location: Chicago IL
Shift: Mon,Wed,Thur,Fri 8:00am-5:00pm Tues 9:30a-5:00pm ,Sat rotational 9:00am-2:00pm
Pay range - $22/hr - $24/hr
Job Summary:
The PSR II represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health checks or significant health decisions. Responsibilities include drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring safe, accurate, and skillful blood collection. The role requires creating a trusting atmosphere with patients, demonstrating leadership, maintaining confidentiality, and focusing on process excellence. Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on schedule under area supervisor direction.

Maintain a safe, professional work environment.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols.

Verify patient demographic info and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.

Maintain all required records and documentation accurately.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:

Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as staffing needs dictate.

Comply with all company policies, dress code, health and safety guidelines, and excellence principles.

Make sound decisions based on procedures and exercise good judgment.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Ability to travel and work multiple locations with minimal notice.

Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Education & Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience.
Additional Details:

Training locations vary depending on trainer availability.

May be required to work across multiple sites with flexibility.
