Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Las Vegas, NV 89110
Duration: 4 months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19 - 23.00/hr. on W2
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the company with professionalism and care. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, accurate, and positive patient experience. The PSR I builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing collections in a skilled, safe, and efficient manner while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the direction of the area supervisor
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public
- Demonstrate organizational values and leadership behaviors
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in certain states)
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience (required)
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- Customer service experience in a retail or service setting (preferred)
- Experience with data entry and keyboarding (required)
