Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I

Job Duration: 6 months, possibility of extension
Job Overview:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for being the face of the company to patients, providing high-quality patient care and drawing blood samples for lab testing. The PSR I creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner. This role involves direct patient interaction, where you will explain procedures and ensure a positive experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood specimen collection (both forensic and clinical) and processing duties, following established procedures.

Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure accurate handling of patient information.

Create a positive and professional atmosphere for patients, providing clear explanations of procedures.

Perform daily activities with accuracy and timeliness under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Maintain records and documentation in compliance with company practices.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and patient care.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Follow all safety guidelines and best practices during specimen collection.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong independent work ethic with minimal supervision.

Proficient in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws.

Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and patient care.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred medical training: Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Minimum 6 months of work experience; 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Proficiency in keyboard/data entry required.
Additional Details:

Reliable transportation required (bus, Uber, or rideshare not considered reliable transportation).

Candidates must be within a 20-25 minute commute window to the work site to ensure timely travel for coverage.
