Senior Quality Control Technician
Job Overview:
The Senior Quality Control (QC) Technician will perform testing and inspections of radioactive pharmaceuticals, raw materials, and facilities to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). This role includes supervising QC testing, maintaining compliance, troubleshooting, and supporting process improvements in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Testing & Inspection: Perform testing, inspection, and measurement of materials and products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation, report results, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Supervision & Leadership: Oversee QC testing within the team, ensuring compliance with timelines and regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement: Drive LEAN implementation and develop new equipment or procedures to enhance QC operations.
- GxP & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure testing is conducted using validated methods and compliant equipment.
- Technical Support: Develop and maintain specialized technical expertise to support ongoing GxP operations and new product development.
- Safety & EHS Compliance: Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and policies and may hold safety appointments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Science (or equivalent relevant work experience)
Experience in laboratory testing and quality control
Strong manual dexterity for handling lab equipment
Proficiency in computer systems for data entry and reporting
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in radioactive pharmaceuticals or a GMP-regulated environment
Knowledge of LEAN principles and process validation
Ability to lead QC teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives
