The phlebotomist I performs routine laboratory tasks to assist professional staff and ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires precision, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols in handling specimens and laboratory equipment.

Job Description:
The phlebotomist I performs routine laboratory tasks to assist professional staff and ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires precision, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols in handling specimens and laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform specimen collection with a focus on quality and safety, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the patient’s presence.
- Maintain accurate documentation and handle specimens according to established guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a professional environment.
- Support multiple locations as needed, including occasional travel and flexible scheduling.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Minimum 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Customer service and keyboard/data entry experience.
