Location: Shreveport, LA, 71103
Duration: 05/08/2025 – 07/31/2025
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5 Days/Week, 40 Hours/Week
Job Summary:
• Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy treatments based on evaluation, assessment, and medical referral.
• Maintains patient care documentation and adjusts treatment plans as needed.
• Participates in in-service education, clinical training, departmental projects, and program development.
• Performs diagnosis-appropriate evaluations and adapts care to meet patient-specific needs.
• Participates in student training and continuing education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy – Required
Licensure & Certifications:
• Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice – Required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association – Required
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience – Required
• Effective communication, judgment, and decision-making skills
• Proficient with Windows-based applications and electronic documentation
• Ability to travel throughout and between facilities
Physical & Working Conditions:
• Very Heavy Work: Exerts over 100 lbs occasionally, 50+ lbs frequently, 20+ lbs constantly
• Requires stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, reaching, and manual dexterity
• Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potentially hazardous materials
• Risk of occupational exposure to communicable diseases and healthcare waste materials
