Job TItle - Grants and Contracts Administrator
Location- Fully Remote to EST OR CST
Duration- 8 Months Contract with Possible extension
Shift: 9-5:30 eastern time
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Advises faculty members on the appropriate response to funding opportunities; Reviews and interprets proposal guidelines and sponsor expectations.
Acts as administrative resource to research investigators, provides assistance, guidance and counsel during development, pre-submission administrative review, management, authorization and transmittal of grant and contract proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies to verify and ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable regulatory and financial compliance requirements.
Ensures that submissions are in compliance with agency and institutional policies, interpret grant and contract requirements/regulations and funding agency guidelines, and prepare, analyze and revise detailed proposal budgets.
Escalates issues to Team Lead or Manager for timely resolution and adherence to deadlines.
Collects all compliance documentation (FCOI, IRB, etc) associated with new applications and non-competing progress reports.
Coordinates proposal submission by acting as liaison between PI and Sponsored Programs Administration Office to resolve pressing concerns in a timely manner for meeting submission deadline.
Maintains grants’ data quality to ensure data integrity in Client’s InfoEd grants management system.
Ensures that research staff are properly registered for electronic proposal submission, including registering investigators in e-Commons and other on-line grant submission platforms.
Works with investigators and their staff on reviewing and submitting Just-in-Time information to sponsor prior to the grant and contract application funding.
Reviews and/or facilitates the review and execution of all sponsored programs agreements and modifications.
Assists Award Administrator in setting up and modifying project accounts.
Reviews and submits project and/or program technical reports, prior approvals, and other non-financial documents to the sponsor on behalf of investigators.
Serves as the liaison for research legal counsel and serves as the department administrator's contact for all agreement issues. Sends questionnaires to department for completion, enters requests into tracking system, and facilitates review with research legal counsel, negotiation with external partners, and obtaining signatures.
Updates and maintains database for agreements and amendments. Coordinates and tracks the workflow of these agreements through each stage of the review and signature process. Maintains electronic file of draft and final contracts for accessibility and retrieval.
Assists in preparing and delivering trainings to PIs and department staff. Also participates in departmental training for Sponsored Programs Administration staff.
Uses discretion with large amounts of sensitive, confidential information concerning professional and personal issues concerning staff, funding requests, correspondence and other documents.
Participates in meetings and/or committees, as required.
Operates standard office equipment. Reports any malfunction to administrative assistant.
Applies Client values as the basis for decision-making..
Perform other duties assigned or as necessary.
EDUCATION Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent preferred.
MUST Have EXPERIENCE:
Three years of relevant work experience in the area of grants administration.
Prior knowledge of grant management system: InfoEd, and other sponsor portals
