Shift: M-F 8am-5pm

Position Overview:
The PSR II is the face of the company, providing a trusted and compassionate experience for patients during medical visits. This role involves drawing blood samples and ensuring the quality and accuracy of specimens for lab testing. PSR II staff is expected to maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and high levels of customer service while ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection:
-
Perform high-quality blood draws (venipuncture) for clinical and forensic samples, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Follow established practices and procedures for specimen collection and processing.

Verify patient demographic information and ensure accuracy in labeling.

Patient Interaction:

Create a trusting and comfortable environment for patients.

Explain procedures to patients clearly and competently.
-
Ensure patients understand the process and are comfortable throughout their visit.

Recordkeeping & Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of specimens and patient interactions.

Follow all confidentiality and data accuracy protocols.

Ensure verification of collected specimens and patient details, including signature post-venipuncture.

Operational Excellence:

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and contribute to a positive team environment.

Stay on top of process excellence, safety, and quality standards.

Handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Adherence to Policies:

Follow company policies and procedures, including dress code, health & safety guidelines, and excellence principles.

Comply with all regulatory requirements for phlebotomy and patient services.

Job Requirements:

Experience & Skills:
-
3+ years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

Education & Certification:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-

Work Environment:
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-
Must be able to handle the demands of a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
