Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Visalia, CA
Job Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Mon - Fri 6:30am -3:30pm
Pay Rate: $20 - $24/hr. on W2
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company to patients arriving for routine or diagnostic health-related visits. This role is responsible for collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and providing a positive patient experience through skilled phlebotomy and excellent customer service.
The PSR I interacts directly with patients, builds trust, and explains procedures clearly and compassionately. This role also requires maintaining patient confidentiality, ensuring procedural accuracy, and demonstrating leadership behaviors aligned with the company's values.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional, and clean environment.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.

Follow established protocols for blood draws and specimen handling.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Provide a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.

Adhere to confidentiality standards and HIPAA guidelines.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:

Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Possess excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

Be flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
Technical Skills:

Keyboarding and data entry proficiency required.
Education & Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent – Require
-
Phlebotomy certification – Preferred, Required in California
Work Experience:
-
Minimum 6 months of relevant experience – Required
