Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Southfield, MI 48075
Duration: 12 Months+ (Possible Extension)
 
Shift:

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
• 12-hour shifts | 3 days per week | 36 hours/week.

• Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapist provides life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gas therapy to patients.
• Responsibilities include performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for ICU and general care patients.
• The therapist maintains clinical competency across assigned departments and business units, communicates effectively with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members, and documents all aspects of patient care accurately.
• The role includes supervising and delegating tasks to respiratory therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned, and completing accurate patient billing documentation.

• Associate of Science degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist license.
• BLS certification.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.

• NICU experience.

• Must hold RRT certification.
• Must be a team player.
• ICU assignments may involve care for up to 6 patients (varies).
• Treatment areas may involve 1–20 patients (varies).
• 12-hour overnight shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
