Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Rome GA
Duration: 3+ months of Contract with possible extension/ Temp to Hire
Shift time: Mon-Thu 8am to 5pm
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company to patients, supporting both routine healthcare visits and life-defining health decisions. This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood collection and specimen processing while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and confidentiality. The PSR II builds trust with patients by explaining procedures clearly and performing venipuncture in a safe, skillful, and professional manner.
This position demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and superior customer service. Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor

Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures

Verify patient demographics and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct tube labeling

Ensure specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information

Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, employees, and the public

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and organizational commitment

Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Scheduling & Work Environment

Flexible availability required, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts

Travel required to multiple locations with minimal notice

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability

Must be punctual and remain for the entire scheduled shift

Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination
Transportation & Travel Requirements

Must have reliable personal transportation (rideshare, bus, or being dropped off is not acceptable)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required if applicable

Must be able to travel between Patient Service Centers and in-office phlebotomy locations
Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience Requirements
-
3 years of direct phlebotomy experience required
