Application Technical Specialist I
Job Title: Application Technical Specialist I
Location: 935 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917
Duration: 6+ Months
Shift: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shift
Schedule & Training
- Standard Shift: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shift
- Shift Variability: May fluctuate for night/day projects and different time zones
- Training: Paid, 5 days/week onsite, within 8 AM – 8 PM window
Position Summary
This is a temporary contractor role in a Technology Rollout Call Center. Assignments involve taking or making calls for multiple technology projects and providing first-level troubleshooting support to contractors/vendors on-site implementing hardware.
- Take calls from technicians/vendors/contractors implementing technology in stores (not a typical customer call center).
- Receive calls through a queue; outbound calls may be required.
- Update tracking applications and perform system validations.
- Provide updates via email, Excel, etc., when not handling calls.
- Handle multiple technical rollout projects simultaneously, including evening/night implementations across different time zones.
- Paid training is 5 days a week onsite; training shifts vary within 8 AM – 8 PM.
- Advanced notice provided for any shift changes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide on-site field technicians first-level technical support for troubleshooting issues during technology implementation/upgrades.
- Ensure project implementation protocols are followed.
- Handle multiple technical rollout projects simultaneously, adjusting to different shifts as required.
- Receive full training and handbook for each project, along with necessary systems/application access.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience
Skills:
- Clear, accurate, and tactful verbal and written communication
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred)
- IT hardware installation experience (preferred but not required)
Additional Notes:
- Job is onsite in RI, 4–5 days/week
- Must be able to work multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to adjust shift times for project needs
- Candidates with diverse IT hardware and technology implementation experience are considered
Assessment & Verification
- Must have verifiable High School Diploma or GED
- Prior CVS/Aetna work experience: No
