Position Overview:
- Role: Night Shift Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Schedule: 3 – 12-hour shifts per week
- Location Requirement: Must live within 100 miles of the facility
- Patient Care Areas: NICU and Adult Care
Requirements:
- License: Must hold an active RRT license (CRT not accepted).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience required, including NICU and Adult Care experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required.
Job Summary:
- The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care as prescribed by a physician.
- Responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation, management, education, rehabilitation, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
- Diagnostic evaluation includes obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system.
- Care involves the application of technology, adherence to treatment protocols across all care sites, and includes:
- Application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems
- Mechanical ventilatory support and artificial airway care
- Bronchopulmonary hygiene
- Administration of pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures
- Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
- Hemodynamic cardiovascular support
Important Notes:
- NICU and Adult Care experience is mandatory; do not submit candidates without these qualifications.
- Only RRT candidates will be considered; CRT candidates are not eligible.
