Job Description: Position Summary: Hybrid supply planning and inventory management responsibilities: Responsible for planning all aspects of production using a MRP II Database. Initiate work orders and maintain accurate database. Includes interaction with other departments to ensure that company objectives are met for business revenues and customer satisfaction. Run meetings to update management. Work on complex analysis for determination of situations to ensure most cost effective means of manufacturing. P erform outbound & inbound material handling, cycle counting and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the filing and packing scheduling process, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
Prioritize the scheduling of orders based on customer requirements, production capacity and inventory levels.
Collaborate with value stream cross functional teams to follow up on bulk schedule and ensure timely availability of necessary materials and resources.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify scheduling bottlenecks and to optimize efficiency.
Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records and documentation.
Maintains the MRP, production plan and planning parameters for established products.
Monitors production plans/forecasts and recommends changes to management.
Support interdepartmental communication relating to several groups such as: Planning, value stream leaders, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service and Shipping
Track/expedite critical raw materials shortage with purchasing/receiving/RMQC that prevent Work order to start on time.
Act on ERP recommendations and exceptions, internal business knowledge (Forecasts), current inventory levels and product lead time; to initiate, schedule and maintain work orders.
Able to provide lead time estimation based on knowledge of product build difficulties, expected true lead time, potential roadblocks.
Responsible for preparing information and data for tiered meeting.
Responsible for ISO and QSR compliance and improvement initiatives within reporting department.
Responsible for meeting key metrics and goals to ensure stated service and inventory levels are maintained while minimizing backorders.
Interface with manufacturing managers/supervisors to coordinate and prioritize product availability to support desired service level.
Be a key point of contact for work order issue resolution.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Proactively managing inventory level based on different service level.
Perform planning duties as assigned by the supervisor or as required to meet the needs of the job.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
BA/BS in Life Science, supply chain or Business-related degree
Minimum 5-7 years related experience in production or supply planning, preferably in medical device industry.
Experience with Inventory Control a plus
Familiarity with an ERP system, QAD or SAP, strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Interacts equally well with all employees utilizing strong interpersonal skills
Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Exact Schedule - 8am-5pm M-F - fully onsite
