Job Title: Radiologic Technologist-Computed Tomography
Location: Grand Blanc, MI
Duration: 4 Months+ Contract (with possible extension)
 
Schedule:
  • Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Rotation: Every other weekend required
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Interview: 30-minute MS Teams interview
 
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomographic procedures and may assist with general diagnostic imaging. The role requires high attention to detail, technical skill in CT imaging, excellent patient communication, and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates will work in either a fixed hospital setting or ambulatory mobile unit.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients.
  • Review requisitions and perform appropriate CT scans based on clinical indications.
  • Prepare procedure rooms and restock supplies as needed.
  • Operate CT equipment and manually control image acquisition.
  • Administer IV contrast using power injectors; monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Assist radiologists in complex, sterile procedures (e.g., biopsies).
  • Adhere to ALARA principles and radiation safety protocols.
  • Ensure image quality and documentation accuracy in PACS/RIS systems.
  • Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure consistent, patient-centered care.
  • Document procedures in EMR and radiology information systems to support billing and clinical care.
 
Education & Certification Requirements:
  • Required Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Ongoing CME required
  • Required Certifications:
    • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) OR registry-eligible
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 1 year of CT technologist experience
  • Technical & Professional Skills:
    • Proficient in operating CT equipment (including contrast administration)
    • Knowledge of RIS and PACS systems
    • Strong understanding of anatomy, imaging protocols, and patient safety
    • Able to perform under pressure in fast-paced or emergent situations
  • Soft Skills & Customer Service:
    • Strong communication, empathy, teamwork, and initiative
    • Adaptability and willingness to learn

    • Committed to excellence in patient care and customer service
 
Working Conditions:
  • May work in hospital or mobile CT units
  • Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
  • Occasional lifting or moving of patients/equipment over 10 lbs
