Job Description:
- The Sr. Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function at a dynamic food manufacturing facility, driving strategic initiatives that support operational excellence and workforce agility.
- Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Sr. Human Resources Manager will partner with senior operations leadership and external staffing agencies to ensure the facility is staffed appropriately and that HR programs align with business goals.
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with production and workforce needs.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and workforce planning.
- Lead culture-building initiatives that support a high-performance environment.
- Agency & Workforce Management
- Oversee relationships with third-party staffing agencies to ensure timely and quality labor support.
- Ensure alignment between agency labor practices and company standards.
- Monitor agency performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Align contingent labor strategies with production forecasts and seasonal demands.
- HR Program Execution
- Oversee execution of HR policies and programs, including:
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Training and career development
- Employee relations
- Compensation and benefits training
- Support line managers in applying HR programs to departmental operations.
Policy & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EEO, FMLA, FLSA).
- Respond to employee and candidate inquiries regarding HR policies and offerings.
- Lead investigations and risk mitigation efforts.
HR Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee and optimize the delivery of core HR services and administrative processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable and compliant HR procedures.
- Ensure consistent and efficient execution of HR transactions and workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate employee data and uphold service level standards.
- Drive operational excellence through metrics, process audits, and system-supported solutions.
Culture & Engagement:
- Champion employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities for the employee population.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, safety, maintenance, FSQA, and EHS teams.
