Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Temple, TX 76508 – Onsite at Level I Trauma Center
Duration: 3 + Months (Possibilities of Extension)

Travel Required: Yes

Work Schedule: 4x10s | Monday – Thursday, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Shift: NOC (Overnight)
Interview Type: Virtual – 1 Round
Scrub Color: Any (No Denim)
 
Certifications / Licensure Required:
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • TMB – Texas Medical Board MRT License
  • BLS – American Heart Association only
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • 2+ years of Radiologic Tech experience
  • Must be proficient, confident, and fast-paced enough to function effectively in a busy Level I Trauma ED
  • Excellent patient communication and positioning skills
  • Experience using AIDET communication model preferred
 
Position Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced Emergency Department, operating under the supervision of a Radiologist. The technologist will work with trauma and critically ill patients, requiring quick thinking, excellent technical execution, and attention to patient comfort and safety. The role includes equipment handling, radiation safety, and patient documentation using the EMR system.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures according to exam protocol
  • Prepare patients and rooms; properly position and shield patients as necessary
  • Apply radiation dose monitoring and safety protocols
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and team members
  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment; report and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of patient data and imaging documentation
  • Adhere to sterile techniques and infection control standards
  • Provide emergency response as needed (First Aid, Code response)
  • Participate in training new team members (as preceptor) when required
