Job Title: Case Management Processor
Location: Remote – Must reside in Texas
(Focused counties: Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Harris, and Bexar)
Duration: 6 Months+ Contract (with possible extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Job Overview:
This fully remote position provides non-clinical operational and administrative support for the Texas Medicaid Waiver program. The role is instrumental in coordinating communication between Waiver Coordinators and the State Program Support Unit, ensuring accurate and timely handling of referrals, eligibility, and transition documentation. Candidates must reside in Texas, specifically in DFW, Harris, or Bexar counties.

The role is instrumental in coordinating communication between Waiver Coordinators and the State Program Support Unit, ensuring accurate and timely handling of referrals, eligibility, and transition documentation. Candidates must reside in Texas, specifically in DFW, Harris, or Bexar counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process initial State referrals for Waiver services.
- Collaborate with Long-Term Services & Supports (LTSS) Coordinators to schedule initial assessments.
- Monitor status updates for initial, reassessment, and transition assessments.
- Interface with the State agency responsible for eligibility determination and obtain Waiver service approvals.
- Track transition processes for Nursing Facility members under the Money Follows the Person program.
- Initiate referrals for Medicare and Waiver processes as needed.
- Document and track activities via internal and state systems.
- Ensure all required Medicaid/Waiver eligibility approvals are obtained prior to service initiation.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Attend scheduled internal meetings and calls.
- Support other administrative functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of administrative support experience in healthcare or social services
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and solve problems independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially for provider outreach
- Organized and detail-oriented with accurate documentation and data entry skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to work independently while managing a caseload effectively
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
- Experience with Medicaid Waiver programs
- Familiarity with Texas state systems related to LTSS or Waiver services
Additional Information:
- Candidates must reside in Texas and be familiar with DFW, Harris, or Bexar counties.
- This role is non-clinical but supports clinical staff and state agencies.
