Job Title: Polysomnographic Registered Technologist
Location: Grand Junction, CO 81501
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Travel Pay: $65/hr (Blended)
Local Pay: $60/hr (W2)
Summary:
The Polysomnographic Registered Technologist (RPSGT) is responsible for performing, coordinating, and scoring physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. This role provides patient care through diagnostic technology, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure quality outcomes and optimal patient experience.

Summary:
The Polysomnographic Registered Technologist (RPSGT) is responsible for performing, coordinating, and scoring physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. This role provides patient care through diagnostic technology, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure quality outcomes and optimal patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct overnight Polysomnographic (sleep) studies and perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
- Apply and manage Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy interventions.
- Monitor, document, and track patient data and physiological parameters during studies.
- Maintain and manage sleep lab equipment, supplies, and documentation.
- Score studies according to AASM (American Academy of Sleep Medicine) guidelines.
- Supervise and mentor PSG Technicians and assist with their ongoing education and orientation.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and compliance with established clinical protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical and interpersonal problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with computerized and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to score sleep studies per AASM standards.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Manual dexterity for precise handling of delicate equipment.
- Prior clinical or patient care experience.
- Supervisory or mentoring experience in a sleep lab setting.
- Ability to work night shifts independently.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS – American Heart Association (or RQI for Healthcare Providers)
- RPSGT / RST – Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Registered Sleep Technologist
