Job Description:
- The Sr Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing and executing payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate payment to associates.
- This role involves leading a team, managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing strategic insights to improve payroll operations.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of payroll practices, and the ability to handle complex payroll issues with efficiency and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely processing of all payroll aspects, including salary, bonuses, benefits, and deductions.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices through regular audits.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance payroll policies, procedures, and systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve complex payroll inquiries and maintain seamless operations.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of all essential payroll reports, including year-end W-2 forms and related filings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, including demonstrated leadership, with extensive proficiency in ADP, eTime, and Workday.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience; highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPP preferred.
