Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Cape Coral, FL
Shift/Time Zone: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with rotational Saturdays (6:00 AM – 10:00 AM every 3rd Saturday)
Duration: 4 months +, temp to hire
Hours/Week: 40 hours

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company and plays a critical role in the patient experience. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing. This individual ensures a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment by following all established procedures and maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy.

This role demands excellent interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in specimen collection and processing.

• Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen collection duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Create a welcoming and trustworthy environment for patients while explaining procedures and collecting specimens.

• Collect both forensic and clinical specimens following established safety protocols and standards.

• Prepare and label specimens for lab testing.

• Maintain all required records and documentation.

• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.

• Maintain flexibility with scheduling needs, including availability for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments.

• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence skills.

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
    
    Experience:

• • Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required

  • 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred

  • Experience in pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy preferred

  • Customer service experience in a retail or service setting preferred

  • Keyboard/data entry experience required

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including with pediatric and geriatric patients

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Dependable, punctual, and committed to scheduled shifts

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

• Candidates must list their home city and commute time to the job site on their resume.

• Candidates must reside within 20–25 minutes of the Cape Coral location.

• Reliable transportation required (bus, rideshare, or Uber is not acceptable).
