Senior Epic Administration
This position is fully remote; however, preference will be given to candidates located in the Metro Detroit or Northeast Ohio area. Candidates must have experience using basic SQL commands. Experience with Unix is preferred. Epic experience is required, and Epic implementation experience is strongly preferred.
A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience is required, with at least five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Candidates must have participated in at least two (2) major Epic implementations or upgrades and have experience documenting business requirements
Epic Security Analyst
Location: Rochester Hills (Fully Remote Preference for Metro Detroit / NE Ohio candidates)
Schedule: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day, 5 days per week)
Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Project Manager, Manager, or Director, the Epic Security Analyst is responsible for designing and maintaining the Epic systems security framework. This includes developing security structures based on user needs and a strong understanding of Epic foundational components such as profiles, roles, menus, and security classes.
The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical skills to evaluate options and deliver high-quality, efficient business processes and solutions that promote enterprise-wide standardization. This role requires the ability to effectively bridge technical and business stakeholders while ensuring alignment with user needs and organizational strategic goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more Epic applications for users, owners, and administrators.

Stay current with new Epic security functionalities across applications.

Coordinate security-related activities across physical security, infrastructure (network, servers, operating systems), and application teams.

Make appropriate access decisions in collaboration with application coordinators and analysts.

Design and manage system-level access in partnership with application teams.

Establish ownership and change delegation guidelines.

Restrict system access to authorized personnel.

Secure remote system access.
-
Ensure regular password updates and compliance with security policies.

Establish user passwords at the operating system level as required.

Create and maintain appropriate security classifications and menus within Epic.

Develop procedures for new user onboarding, including login authorization, password setup, and security training.

Establish procedures for timely user deactivation.

Create test scenarios and develop test plans to validate business application requirements.

Participate in technical reviews to ensure the intent of changes is carried through the project lifecycle.

Provide production support, manage escalations, perform root cause analysis, and resolve application issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum seven (7) years of relevant work experience.

Minimum five (5) years of experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
