Schedule: Monday–Friday (Daytime Shift; Flexibility between 8 AM – 6 PM)
Hours: 37.5 hours/week | 7.5 hours/day | 5 days/week
Hourly rate: $21/hour on W2 (Negotiable)

The Medical Office Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support to physicians and surgeons in an OB/GYN outpatient setting. The role ensures efficient patient care through a combination of medical assistance, front-desk operations, and clerical duties, helping to deliver high-quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Assist with patient care (vital signs, ventilation, EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing).
- Prepare exam rooms and instruments using proper sterilization techniques.
- Assist physicians during procedures and patient exams.
- Escort and support patients with mobility, dressing, and transfers.
- Maintain medication refrigeration logs, sterilization logs, and crash cart checks.
- Monitor medication and supply expiration dates and restock as needed.
- Comply with PPE and infection control protocols.
- Answer phones and relay information to patients and families.
- Manage patient charts and ensure proper filing of medical records and test results.
- Schedule surgeries/procedures and coordinate pre-admission and consent forms.
- Assist in appointment scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
- Update demographic and insurance information.
- Handle pre-certification and referrals as necessary.
- Enter orders and prescription refills into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a medical assistant (3 years preferred).
- Some administrative and phlebotomy experiences are desirable.
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant from an approved program preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
