JOB SUMMARY

The POCT Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing point-of-care testing programs, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient implementation of testing methodologies across the system.




WORK SCHEDULE

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of POCT program; recommend improvements
• Coordinate implementation of new testing methodologies and instrumentation
• Develop, validate, and maintain procedures for testing processes
• Manage POCT data systems including operator tracking, system checks, and error investigations
• Standardize testing procedures across sites for consistency and efficiency
• Conduct annual review and updates of POCT manuals
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement POCT policies
• Ensure compliance with quality control, audits, and regulatory standards
• Support inventory management, proficiency testing, and POCT-related projects
• Maintain strong communication with clinical teams to support patient care




REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory, or related science (Required)
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience
• Certification (one required):

  • MLS (ASCP)
  • MT (ASCP)
    • Prior POCT experience (Preferred)
    • Knowledge of Telcor QML (Preferred)
