Phlebotomist II - Float
Job Title: Phlebotomist II - Float
Location: Margate, FL
Duration: 3 months
Shift: M- F 5 am to 5 pm availability & Rotational Saturdays 6:30 am to 12:00 pm
Schedule will vary depending on which site, but availability still needs to be between 5am-5pm
Overview:
The PSR II serves as the company’s frontline, collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while ensuring patient trust and comfort. This role requires advanced phlebotomy skills, leadership, and strict adherence to confidentiality and safety protocols. Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or multiple locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform clinical and forensic blood draws with accuracy and confidence

Verify patient information and specimen labeling with patient confirmation

Maintain detailed records and follow safety and procedural guidelines

Provide superior customer service and clear communication

Adapt to flexible schedules and cover multiple sites as required
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Medical training preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA
-
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric draws

At least 2 years in a patient service center environment preferred

Strong data entry and customer service skills

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, clean driving record (for floaters)

Ability to work independently, multitask, and handle a fast-paced workload

Available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime shifts
Additional Details:

Punctuality and full-shift attendance mandatory; excessive absenteeism leads to termination

Floaters travel between sites and can claim mileage reimbursement
