Phlebotomist II
Job Description: Patient Services Representative II / Phlebotomist II
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 4 months
Shift: Mon-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm rotating Saturday 7:00am-2:00pm
The PSR II is the face of our company, interacting directly with patients and ensuring a safe, accurate, and efficient blood draw process. The role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens, and explaining procedures in a trusted and professional manner. The PSR II must follow company protocols, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. Flexibility in work location and hours is required.
Responsibilities:

Perform accurate blood draws and specimen processing for both forensic and clinical samples.

Verify patient demographic info and ensure proper labeling.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Work in a safe, professional environment, maintaining a positive image to patients and the public.

Adhere to company policies and procedures, including dress code and health/safety protocols.
Requirements:

Strong phlebotomy skills (including pediatric and geriatric).

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Flexibility to travel and cover various locations.

Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification (required in some states).
-
3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
-
Customer service experience is a plus.
