Shift: PM Shift, 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
Schedule: Saturday–Monday (Weekend Program, 0.9 FTE), No On-Call

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a defined group of patients in an inpatient environment. The RN demonstrates competency in delivering care primarily to an adult population and follows the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice (2nd Edition, 2010).
Essential Duties:

Perform comprehensive assessments and identify diagnoses.

Develop and implement individualized care plans with defined outcomes.

Evaluate patient progress and adapt care accordingly.

Contribute to quality improvement efforts using benchmarks and PDSA models.

Identify workflow inefficiencies and suggest corrections.
-
Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights.
-
May function in the scrub role upon completion of required training/competency.

Maintain safe, ethical, and environmentally sound practices.

Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Advocate for patients, ensuring safety and equity in care delivery.

Collaborate across care teams and promote professional nursing autonomy.

Use appropriate resources for safe, effective, and cost-conscious care.
Required Skills & Experience:

Clinical competence and experience managing surgical inpatient populations – Required
Education:

Nursing diploma or Associate's degree – Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
-
Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact State License – Required
-
BLS certification (AHA or AHA-approved equivalent) – Required
