Position Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a frontline ambassador of our company, responsible for collecting quality blood specimens and ensuring exceptional patient experiences. This role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and safety. PSR IIs may work in doctor’s offices, Patient Service Centers (PSC), or other healthcare settings as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood collection (venipuncture, capillary draws) with a high level of accuracy and care for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric.

Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols.

Verify and label specimens in the presence of patients, confirming patient identity and ensuring proper documentation.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.

Accurately enter and verify patient data; maintain required logs and records.

Travel to multiple locations as needed with short notice to provide coverage.

Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every patient.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and commitment to company policies, safety guidelines, and core values.
Qualifications:
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, and WA; preferred in other states.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.

At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center or similar healthcare environment preferred.

Prior customer service or retail/service industry experience is a plus.

Proficient in data entry and keyboarding.
Skills:

Strong phlebotomy and specimen handling skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Superior customer focus and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Comfortable with change and adaptable to shifting business needs.
