Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal.
- Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation.
- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Support the departments safety initiatives, apply knowledge of industrial safety standards, and identify health hazards.
Required Skills
- Able to interpret technical documentation (e.g. specifications, design prints, SOPs, etc.)
- Proficient in using hand measurement tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methods, practices, and procedures.
- High attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Skills
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Metal fabrication and welding knowledge
- Metrology experience (e.g. CMM, vision systems, 3D scanning, etc.)
- Solidworks/CAD understanding
