Pay Range: $18/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
The Data Entry Representative is responsible for accurately entering and updating medical claim, billing, and medical record information into company databases. This role supports the Coordination of Benefits (COB) and Competitive Intelligence teams by ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate medical data entry. The position requires the ability to read and understand medical claims, billing documents, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

Job Summary:
The Data Entry Representative is responsible for accurately entering and updating medical claim, billing, and medical record information into company databases. This role supports the Coordination of Benefits (COB) and Competitive Intelligence teams by ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate medical data entry. The position requires the ability to read and understand medical claims, billing documents, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry of medical claims, billing details, and medical records into Professional and Facility databases.
- Review and interpret medical claim forms, billing statements, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure correct data entry.
- Ensure all data is entered accurately and within assigned deadlines.
- Use multiple systems and tools such as:
- Maintain required daily and monthly productivity targets for manual and electronic data entry.
- Perform quality checks on entered data and correct errors as needed.
- Maintain assigned accuracy standards.
- Respond to audit feedback from Analysts or management and complete corrections promptly.
- Communicate daily with team members regarding completed work and any issues identified.
- Participate in team meetings and support process improvements related to medical data entry.
- Follow all company policies, compliance standards, and ethical guidelines while handling medical and client data.
- Work collaboratively with peers, Analysts, IT support, and management to deliver accurate and reliable results.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience in medical data entry, medical claims, billing, or health insurance is preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding (CPT, ICD, HCPCS) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with multiple systems and tools
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook
- Ability to meet productivity and quality goals
