Job Title: Contact Center Specialist 1
Work Location: Waco, TX 76710
Length of Assignment: Initially 4 months+ (With Possibility of Extension)

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am – 5 pm
 
Job Summary:
This role involves answering phone calls and messages from patients, family members, and others. You’ll help register new patients, schedule appointments, answer questions, resolve issues, and provide information in a friendly and professional way.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Register new patients accurately and on time.
  • Make sure all patient information is complete and correct in the system.
  • Check insurance coverage or explain self-pay options and costs.
  • Schedule appointments based on need, requests, and clinic guidelines.
  • Explain appointment details and any preparation needed.
  • Send messages between patients and healthcare staff.
  • Recognize emergency situations and alert medical staff if needed.
  • Stay calm and professional when handling upset or frustrated callers.
  • Escalate urgent or unresolved issues to the right person.
 
 Skills:
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Good typing and computer skills.
  • Experience in customer service, healthcare, or a call center is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma.
