Business Analyst

Supporting the Creative Team

This position is responsible for functions on projects of moderate to high complexity by working with business partners within multiple business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies; eliciting, documenting, and refining business requirements for the IT organization; serving as a liaison across multiple facets of the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs; leveraging an informed knowledge of business areas to identify and/or resolve problems on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.
2. Assist in the analysis of business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
3. Define and document business, user, and functional requirements using appropriate documentation techniques to describe statements of the goals, objectives, or needs of a particular stakeholder or group of stakeholders (on projects of low complexity).
4. Work with business partners within one business function to align technology solutions with business strategies and to prioritize solutions to maximize business value and to meet regulatory and compliance mandates.
5. Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications (with senior business analyst oversight through peer reviews).
6. Develop an informed knowledge of the business unit being supported, as well as an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities in order to participate in project activities and research requests on an ongoing basis.
7. Assist in obtaining consensus by facilitating communication between business unit's) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. From a project perspective, owns the entire DM and ensure it is implemented based on customer needs.
8. Requirements and project artifacts are completed in accordance with SDM methodologies.
9. Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
10. Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
11. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc
12. Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
13. Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
14. Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree with 1 year experience in project management, method analysis, or operations/systems analysis OR 2 years experience in project management, method analysis, or operations/systems analysis
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
PC proficiency to include but not limited to MS Office.
Must have experience with web-based project management and issue-tracking tools as well as Agile software development principles and practices.
