Phlebotomist II
Duartion: 6months
Location: Indianapolis IN
Shift: 7:30 am - 4:30pm M-F
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our company to patients visiting for routine care or critical health decisions. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing, strictly following established procedures. The PSR II builds trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures clearly and performing safe, skillful, and accurate blood draws. The role also requires demonstrating leadership behaviors, process excellence, and maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy regarding patient information. Assignments may be at a doctor's office, Patient Service Center, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and punctually under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Confidently conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established protocols.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials and signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct tube labeling in their presence.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Promote organizational commitment and uphold a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime shifts.

Sound judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record (if applicable).

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to cover multiple locations, sometimes on short notice.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Superior customer focus with transparent communication skills and adaptability to change.

Knowledge of the healthcare business environment.

Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
Work Experience:
-
1 to 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
