Job Title: 2nd shift Maintenance Technician
Location: Mason, OH 45040
Job Schedule: M-F 3pm to 11pm
Job Description:
-Technical Skills and Experience: The role requires a strong background in electrical and pneumatic systems, including the ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance (PMs), is crucial.
-Ownership and Responsibility: The candidate must take ownership of assigned equipment and plant areas, providing input on safety, quality, equipment condition, and building fabric. Following through on agreed actions, including parts procurement and scheduling, is essential.
-Project Assistance and Compliance: The role involves assisting with various projects, such as building fabric repair, equipment installations, and utility installations (electrical, steam, air, process piping). Performing all tasks while observing regulations, policies, and safety standards is vital.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Receives instructions and duty assignments from maintenance supervisor or lead mechanic
Ownership and responsibility for assigned equipment and plant areas; will submit input to lead mechanic on current or potential problems in the areas of Safety, Quality, Equipment condition/performance and Building Fabric
Follow through on agreed actions to include parts procurement and scheduling
2. Understand the customer/supplier relationship, both internal and external
3. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader and conduit bender
4. Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment following electrical code and blueprints
5. Troubleshoot malfunctioning apparatus and replace damaged material (wire, cables, etc.)
6. Troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively
7. Perform PM s
8. On a regular basis, will submit input to supervisor or lead on current or potential problems on all building machinery and equipment
9. Assist with Projects to include
Building Fabric repair / modifications
Equipment installations
Utility installation (Electrical, Steam, Air, Process Piping)
10. Perform all tasks observing regulations / policies and needs for Safety, Quality, GMP s, customer needs and workmanship
11. Administration duties to include daily audits, parts orders and work orders; must be filled out accurately
12. Must have own hand tools
13. Continued education
14. Work overtime as needed
15. Cross-training
Qualification & Skills:
1. Journeyman card (Multi-craft Technician) preferred
2. Journeyman card (Maintenance Technician) preferred
3. Have attended and completed vocational and/or training courses in basic electricity and pneumatics, hydraulics, steam, pump repair and/or three years experience working in a maintenance environment with electric and pneumatics
4. Worked in a food production environment using mechanical, electrical and pneumatic trouble-shooting skills; high speed packaging and processing equipment a plus!
5. Familiar with electrical and pneumatic control logic, photo-cell operation, heat controllers, etc.
6. Have an excellent attendance and work record
7. Ability to read machine prints and perform machine repair
8. Hands on experience in installation of piping systems (air, water, steam), industrial electrical installations and control circuits
9. Excellent mechanical aptitude to trouble shoot and repair related equipment
10. Welding experience a plus, especially in food process piping (ARCH-TIG-MIG)
11. Must pass entrance assessment
12. ARC Product training a plus
