Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Location: Jackson, MI
Job Duration: 2-3 Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: Ist position - 4:00am - 12:30pm; IInd position - 5:00am - 1:30pm; IIIrd postion - 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Job Summary:
  • Under general supervision and according to specified procedures, performs routine laboratory activities such as patient receiving, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related duties including lab clinical functions.
Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Preferred Education:
  • Completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program preferred.
Required Certification & Licensure:
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver's license and the ability to be insured by a HFMG Insurance Carrier.
  • Phlebotomy Certification strongly preferred.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 6 months to one year on the job experience in venipuncture required.
  • Must have at least a year of experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Previous computer experiences preferred.
  • Must have prior experience with LIS (Lab information system) experience.
  • May need to learn specimen receiving, if they don't already have that experience.
