Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description 


The Patient Services Representative III (PSR III – Floater) serves as the primary face of the organization for patients receiving routine or diagnostic care. This role is responsible for performing high-quality, accurate blood collection and specimen processing while ensuring a professional, safe, and supportive patient experience.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
  • Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling in the patient’s presence
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all protocols
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients to build trust and confidence
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume setting
  • Adapt to staffing needs, including travel between multiple locations and flexible scheduling

  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong judgment and adherence to procedures
  • Support multiple priorities and changing assignments as needed
  • Represent the organization professionally to patients, staff, and the public


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 3+ years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws)
  • Experience in a patient service center preferred
  • Strong customer service experience preferred
  • Data entry/keyboard proficiency required
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states)
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred


Additional Requirements

  • Flexible availability (weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime as needed)
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable)
  • Ability to travel between sites with short notice
  • Must follow all company policies, safety standards, and dress code
