Phlebotomist I
Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Arcadia, FL, 34266
Shift: Monday- Friday 7am-12pm, Every 3rd Saturday 7am- 11am
Duration: 3+ Months
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the frontline representative of Quest Diagnostics, providing professional and compassionate service to patients. This role involves performing high-quality blood draws, specimen collection, and preparation for laboratory testing. The PSR I ensures accuracy, safety, and confidentiality while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture, capillary, and other specimen collections skillfully and safely from patients of all ages (pediatric through geriatric).

Prepare, label, and process specimens according to established protocols.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment following company and OSHA standards.

Accurately record patient and specimen data in electronic systems.

Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

Provide exceptional customer service by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, teamwork, and a commitment to process excellence.

Manage time efficiently to meet daily workflow and specimen collection goals.

Support flexible scheduling needs, including weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
Qualifications:
-
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
-
Preferred Training: Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic background.
-
Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Experience: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred).

Technical Skills: Strong computer, data entry, and documentation skills.

Customer Service: Prior experience in healthcare, retail, or service environments strongly preferred.

Other Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation (personal vehicle preferred).

Must be punctual, dependable, and able to complete scheduled shifts fully.

Must live within a 20–25 minute commute of the worksite.
