Shift: 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM Must work every other weekend.


Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of our company to patients, whether they are seeking routine care or insights into critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, while adhering to established practices and procedures. This position involves direct interaction with patients, ensuring a trusted and confident environment by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR I will demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in managing patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to work at a doctor s office, a patient service center, or other locations as business needs require.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

  • Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.

  • Confidently manage both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties, following established protocols.

  • Verify patient demographic information, initials, and patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling of specimens.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures.

  • Promote a positive company image by providing excellent service to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, following established procedures.

  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

  • Flexibility to meet staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

  • Commitment to company policies and procedures, including dress code, employee health and safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and sound judgment.

  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.

  • Ability to travel and work across multiple locations and provide coverage for Patient Service Centers/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

  • Capability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

  • Demonstrates superior customer focus and the ability to communicate openly and transparently with patients, supervisors, and peers.

  • Ability to embrace change and demonstrate a strong understanding of the business.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience is required.

  • One year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.

  • Experience in customer service within a retail or service environment preferred.

  • Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
