Phlebotomist I
Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Cape Coral, FL
Shift: Monday-Friday w/ Rotational Saturday 6am-3pm and 6am-10am every 3rd Saturday.
Duration: 3 Months
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a professional, supportive, and trustworthy experience. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and maintaining strict adherence to established procedures. The PSR I communicates effectively with patients, explains procedures clearly, and ensures accuracy, safety, and confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and within designated timelines under supervisor guidance
- Collect blood specimens using proper phlebotomy techniques (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
- Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients to build trust and confidence
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure data accuracy
- Demonstrate organizational values and promote a positive company image

Job Requirements:

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in certain regions)
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience (required)
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments (preferred)
