Job Description: Senior Business Systems Analyst (Facets)
Location : Remote
Duration : 2 Months
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Facets to support complex system analysis, business requirements, and cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Facets Expertise
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Facets and its core configurations, including:
- Member demographic data
- Member eligibility
- Products
- Claims (eligibility, denials)
- Benefits
- Balances
- Service limits
- Prior authorization
- Other core Facets functionalities
Business & Systems Analysis
- Consult with client management to address business needs and opportunities.
- Provide continuity across business units, development, operations, and technical teams during testing and implementation.
- Define complex system solutions for cross-functional and multi-platform initiatives.
- Assess the impact of changes and define business rules across functional areas.
- Apply advanced systems analysis techniques considering current and future business environments.
Requirements Management
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and validation.
- Ensure requirements are:
- Complete, consistent, traceable, feasible, and testable
- Document requirements using standard templates with clear and concise language.
- Define non-functional requirements including quality attributes, constraints, and interfaces.
- Manage requirement changes and communicate impacts, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Collaborate with technical and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and requirement practices.
- Support multiple concurrent projects and ensure successful delivery.
Leadership & Project Support
- Lead or support project roles such as:
- Project Lead
- Business Systems Analyst Lead
- Technical Lead
- Coordinate work assignments and validate deliverables of team members.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts.
- Support medium to large-scale project phases.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Conduct research on tools and technologies to support business decisions.
- Identify and initiate improvements aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Masters degree preferred
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology and Systems Analysis
- Proven experience leading requirements development efforts
- Experience in the health insurance domain preferred
- Strong expertise in application development methodologies and IT concepts
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
Skills & Certifications
- CBAP or CCBA certification preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Advanced knowledge of integrated and interdependent systems
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
