Location: La Quinta, CA
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for appointments, including exam room setup and patient check-in/check-out
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient health information
- Assist providers during medical examinations and procedures
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as dressing changes and suture removal (as directed)
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and follow sterilization procedures
- Maintain exam rooms, clinic equipment, and medical supplies
- Support specialty providers by preparing patient history and documentation
- Maintain clinic logs and perform quality control checks on medical equipment
- Assist with triaging unscheduled patient requests
- Perform COVID testing for staff and participants as needed
- Ensure exam rooms remain stocked, sanitized, and ready for patient care
- Maintain medication/vaccine refrigerator logs and emergency cart logs
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting, preferably with frail or elderly populations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 2-year Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES
- Current Medical Assistant Certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation may be required for clinic duties involving participant assistance or home visits
- Experience in Home Health or clinical care settings
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Certification from a State Medical Board–approved Medical Assistant certifying organization
